Mom’s brownie recipe

Okay, yes I am sharing my mom’s brownie recipe.  When I was a kid she either put a chocolate frosting or butter on top.  We got butter usually when none of us kids were patient enough to wait for it to cool off enough for the frosting.  However, during the winters in Alaska, we’d throw the brownie pan outside on top of the snow for about 5 minutes and we’d be good to add the frosting!

Bake for 20 minutes at 350

In a bowl – mix together

2 cups Flour
2 cups Sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

In a saucepan – boil for 1 minute

1 cup butter
4 Tablespoons Cocao powder
1 cup water

Mix chocolate sauce into bowl of dry ingredients.  Then ADD

1/2 cup butter milk
2 eggs – or egg replacer
1 teaspoon vanilla

grease and flour a large baking sheet – add brownie mix

P.S. These brownies are great if you’re needing to serve a lot of people.
