I was what I like to call a “career smoker” for 13 years. On average I smoked 2 to 2.5 packs of cigarettes per day. The height of my smoking was 3 packs per day for a good couple years and I loved absolutely everything about it.
Now… Not once when seeing the picture of the healthy lungs and smokers lungs did I ever think about quitting. And that picture is disgusting.
What started my thinking and desire to quit was the mere fact nicotine levels are extremely higher in cervical mucus than in your blood stream. I invite you to do your own research on this topic.
It took me 6 years to quit after that. This Valentines Day I will be celebrating 10 years of not smoking and I cannot even begin to express my disbelief that I haven’t had a cigarette in that time and my humbled gratitude for my health today.
What worked for me to quit (after about 6 failed attempts) was doing Reiki energy healing in myself. Had I been introduced to essential oils back them I would have been utilizing those all day long too. I now teach a Reiki level 1 class that is designed specifically for those wanting to use Reiki to quit smoking.
