Okay, I honestly cannot remember where on the internet I found the recipe I have now tweaked (which they tweaked).
Mom’s Cake Like Brownie Recipe is great and amazing, but over the years I’ve gravitated towards the more fudgy kind. So here goes… and remember when trying out this recipe — I live off grid and my oven cannot hold a set temperature. If I can make these things turn out great I know you can too, just give it a few tries, love, and tweaking to your taste buds desires.
Oven temp: 325
Bake: 20-25 minutes
Place the rack on the lower 1/3 of the oven.
1/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 t. Salt (I really just sprinkle some in and sometimes it’s about that much, but more like 1/8 t.)
1 t. Vanilla
10-15 drops Food Grade Essential Oils (I love orange or peppermint)
1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
Make sure to stir for about 40-50 strokes past mixed.
Placing foil in the 9×9 pan will make for very easy clean up.
For enjoying… you’ll want to wait (if you can) until they’ve cooled off.
