Reiki is the Japanese healing technique whose early pioneers developed their styles of Reiki. The version we know in the west came from Dr. Mikao Usui, who began his journey with Reiki in March 1922. After the Kanto earthquake and tsunami in Tokyo, the demand for healing grew, and he began training other Reiki Masters.
One of those Masters was Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. He brought his expertise as a Navy medical doctor. He created the standard healing guide and changed the healing from standing to laying down.
One student of Dr. Hayashi’s, Mrs. Takata, from Hawaii, felt that all the Japanese techniques would be too hard for westerners to learn, so she simplified the training. She was also innovative in creating the Master symbol, which she began using in 1975. Without her impact on Reiki, we probably would not have it in the west today.
Today, Catherine Powell has developed her Reiki attunement process with powerful and effective Quantum energies.
What to Expect in Class
Reiki Level 1: You’ll receive the Quantum Reiki Attunement for this level. We’ll dive deeper into the history of Reiki and what we know of it now. Then, with ample practice, you’ll learn the specific western and Japanese healing techniques for healing yourself and others.
Reiki Level 2: You’ll receive the three session symbols during the Quantum Reiki Level 2 Attunement. After which will be practice time (or, I like to call it, playtime) for using these energies. We’ll also discuss the details for setting up your thriving Reiki business.
